The Fairfax County Park Authority will soon begin bridge replacement work in McLean Central Park in McLean, Virginia. Contractor AP Construction LLC will be mobilizing on site by the middle of August 2022. The replacement of an old wooden bridge with a 45-foot-by-8-foot fiberglass bridge is planned. The project will cost approximately $116,200.
Contingent on the weather, this project will be completed in late September. Residents should expect occasional traffic at the maintenance access point at Martha Jane Street to facilitate the passage of bridge materials and equipment. As a safety precaution, portions of the existing trail will be closed to users during the project.
