Ryan CarmenThe Fairfax County Park Authority (FCPA) named Ryan Carmen to serve as its new Golf Division Director. Carmen will oversee the seven golf sites operated by the Park Authority. The appointment is effective Nov. 5, 2022.

Carmen has been involved in the golf industry since 2002. He earned a bachelor’s degree in sports management from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania. Before joining the Park Authority as the general manager at Laurel Hill Golf Club in 2016, he served as the director of golf at a nationally acclaimed resort, where he managed two resort courses, one being a former host of the PGA Tour.

Fairfax County is ranked among the top municipal golf courses in the nation. The seven courses the agency owns or manages serve approximately 293,000 rounds of golf annually. Included in the lineup are Laurel Hill Golf Club in Lorton, Greendale Golf Course in Alexandria, Pinecrest Golf Course in Annandale, Jefferson Golf Course in Falls Church, Twin Lakes Golf Course in Clifton, Oak Marr Golf Center in Oakton, and Burke Lake Golf Center in Fairfax Station.

Over the past few years, Golf Fairfax has expanded its services with elegant venues appropriate for weddings and other events, updated golf ranges, summer camps, youth programs, hosted prestigious tournaments, and provided special programs for families and women golfers.
