Every summer the Fairfax County Park Authority hires more than 1,000 seasonal employees to provide hundreds of programs, camps, amusements and recreational opportunities for county residents all summer long.

If you are looking to get into the “fun” business, the Park Authority has a place for you! From lifeguards and camp leaders to customer service and maintenance workers, there are so many ways that you can contribute. The park system also has a variety of settings for you to choose your own summer job adventure. You can work at the farm, a waterfront park, in the forest, or at the marina, rec center or nature center. Let your imagination take off.

The Park Authority will be hosting several open hire sessions over the course of the next several weeks. Come to any of these planned events and meet Park Authority staff, submit applications, interview and potentially walk away with a summer job right on the spot!

Newly hired seasonal employees are being offered a $500 signing bonus for the summer 2023 season.
