Are you looking for a fun and rewarding volunteer opportunity that supports your local community? Join the Fairfax County Farmers Markets team as a Volunteer Market Manager! The Fairfax County Park Authority (FCPA) is currently recruiting volunteers to help manage the 10 Fairfax County Farmers Markets.
The FCPA Farmers Market program provides residents access to locally grown products and create market opportunities for area farmers and food producers. Volunteer Farmers Market Managers help manage the day-to-day operations of the market by setting up market supplies, supporting customers and vendors, explaining market rules, and assisting with outreach and vendor selection. This is a great volunteer position for anyone that enjoys the outdoors, supports local farmers and food producers, and wants to help bring fresh and local produce to the Fairfax community.
Markets are open April through December, Wednesdays through Sundays at the locations listed below. Volunteers can create a flexible schedule that fits their availability.
