Twos aren’t Terrible with Park Programs for Fun
Introduce your toddler to parks and nature with programs designed to entertain youngsters -- and adults, too.
Play American Indian games and listen to stories ‘round the campfire at Riverbend Park on Saturday, September 16, 2017. This program for participants age two to adult comes complete with s’mores! Bring a toasting stick, blanket and flashlight, and curl up by the fire for family fun. The campfire event from 6 to 7 p.m. costs $8 per person. On Sunday, September 17, bring your child age two to five to explore the pond at Hidden Oaks Nature Center. It’s home to turtles, dragonflies, fish, frogs and lots of plants. This fall, Frying Pan Farm Park offers Little Hands on the Farm for children age two to five. In this program, kids can interact with farm animals, receive a story and create a craft. Sessions for children ages two and three meet from 9:45 to 10:30 a.m., and children age three to five meet from 11 to 11:45 a.m. Weekly registration is $8 per child.
