Put Stars in your Eyes with Astronomy Programs in the Parks

Learn about constellations, comets and more in astronomy programs in the parks on Saturday, October 14, 2017.

Find out what’s new in the night sky as naturalists at Huntley Meadows Park take you on a tour of constellations, comets and other astronomical features that can be seen the skies this fall. Indulge in some boardwalk astronomy at the park from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. This program for participants age 12 to adult costs $8 per person. It will be canceled in the event of rain or other severe weather.

At Hidden Oaks Nature Center, enjoy a campfire while you learn what ancient cultures saw in the stars. Make s’mores over the embers after hearing tales about the constellations. This program from 7 to 8 p.m. is for participants age four to adult. The cost is $7 per person.
