Look Deep into the Universe with Programs at Turner Farm

Look Deep into the Universe with Programs at Turner Farm

Take advantage of the dark skies at Turner Farm Park to delve into astronomy and study the cosmos through telescopes.

This fall, the roll-top observatory at Turner Farm is offering a program for families that includes discussion of a different astronomical topic each month. After class, view the objects that were discussed through the observatory’s telescopes, if weather allows. Topics may include planets, open clusters, double stars, stellar color spectrum, globular clusters and galaxies.

Astronomical seminars will be held October 11, November 8 and December 6, 2017. Sessions meet from 7:30 to 9 p.m. and are designed for participants age nine to adult. The cost is $15 per person. Check the Analemma Society website for topics at: http://www.analemma.org/.
