Discover Howling Good Fun at a Dog Costume Contest and Fall Fest

Dog lovers will have a howling good time at Lake Accotink Park’s Howl-O-Ween Dog Costume Contest on Saturday, October 21, 2017 .

Don’t miss the chance to show off your pet’s unique personality and compete for special prizes and treats. Bring your costumed dog to the park’s large pavilion from 3 to 4 p.m. to witness the best in canine creativity. All dogs must be leashed and friendly with dogs and people of all ages. The cost is $5 to register, and there must be one handler per dog. Please register the human – not the canine!

Howl-O-Ween Dog Costume Contest REGISTER

After the contest, enjoy activities at the park’s Fall Fest. Dig for treasures on Scare-Away Beach and play some Halloween-themed mini-golf. Haunted wagon rides will be available from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Lake Accotink marina. This event for participants age four to adult runs from 4 to 8 p.m., and the cost is $8 per person. Registered participants receive a trick-or-treat goodie bag! Bring flashlights in case you stay after the sun goes down.
