Pursuant to the VOSH Standard, you are required by law to advise Fairfax County within 24 hours in the event that an employee of your company or someone associated with your company, who was present at a place of employment owned or operated by Fairfax County within two days prior to symptom onset (or positive test if the employee is asymptomatic) until 10 days after onset (or positive test) tests positive for COVID-19. ALL REPORTS OF POSITIVE COVID-19 TESTS SHALL BE MADE AT THE FOLLOWING WEB ADDRESS: https://redcap.vdh.virginia.gov/redcap/surveys/index.php?s=79YWCHFXPL.  Please bookmark the link for future use.  When completing the form, please provide the street address of any facility owned or operated by Fairfax County where the employee was working in the time period identified above.  If the employee was teleworking or on leave, provide the street address of their assigned worksite, but select “Yes” for question 10.

Importance of Excluding from Work Employees Suspected or Confirmed COVID-19

Consistent with the health and safety protocols contained in the VOSH Standard and the Fairfax County COVID-19 Infectious Disease Preparedness and Response Plan (“Fairfax COVID-19 Response Plan”), it is essential that you exclude from work employees or other persons (e.g., volunteers) who are suspected or confirmed to have contracted COVID-19.  Such individuals must not report to and will not be allowed to remain at the work site until cleared for return to work.  You must not allow your suspected or confirmed COVID-19 employees to report to or be allowed to remain at work or on a job site until cleared for return to work.
