Bailey’s Crossroads Community Shelter and Supportive Housing

Baileys Crossroad renderingThe County closed on the purchase of property at 5914 Seminary Road on September 14, 2016. This site will be developed as the new location for the Bailey's Crossroads Community Shelter and Supportive Housing for adults. The facility is expected to be approximate 23,000 SF and to be completed by late 2019.

Shelter Features

  • Fifty-two emergency shelter beds to serve single adults including four medical respite beds
  • Approximately 18 personal living quarters
  • Outdoor picnic and activity area
  • Surface parking as required
  • 24 hour staffing, including guidance and counselling
  • Hypothermia prevention program

Projected Project Timeline

  • Design: Fall 2016 - Fall 2017
  • Construction: Spring 2018 - Fall 2019
  • Shelter Opening: Late Fall 2019
