Fairfax County, VA - Community meetings are planned for Thursday, June 24, 2021 and Monday, June 28 to provide updates on the Original Mount Vernon High School Renovation and Adaptive Reuse Project.
The county is providing two opportunities to attend the community meetings:
- The in-person June 24 meeting is from 7 to 9 p.m. in the gymnasium at the Original Mount Vernon High School, 8333 Richmond Highway, Fairfax, VA
- June 28 meeting is virtual from 7 – 8 p.m.
The same information will be provided at both meetings.
To attend either meeting, email the project team at DPWESCAPOMVHighSchool@FairfaxCounty.gov and indicate which meeting you plan to attend. Meeting instructions will be sent to you by return email prior to the meeting date; or call the Building Design and Construction Division at 703-324-5800, TTY 711.
At the meetings, the project team will present progress on the design of the renovations for the building and the site. In addition, the team will present an update on efforts to finalize the education, community use, recreation, childcare and other programming elements with a vision to create a human development center.
