Fairfax County is using an online tool to draw proposed new electoral boundaries for the Board of Supervisors and School Board.
The deadline for public to submit maps has past — but plans submitted by the public or committee are available for review and comment. To view submitted maps, log into the online mapping tool. (You will need to sign up for a free account first if you don't already have one; follow the instructions below.)
Maps submitted by both the public and committee are posted anonymously, although redistricting plans indicate if they were created by the public or the committee.
Read the instructions below before you begin, as well as the legal and policy criteria. If you do not have a computer or internet access, visit a public library branch or call 703-787-4962, TTY 711, to find other locations.
The Redistricting Advisory Committee will consider maps that were submitted by the public as they make recommendations on new proposed election districts. The committee will continue to draw its own maps until Sept. 28.
