Television/Video Technologies

Gone are the days of monophonic televisions, with “rabbit ears” sitting on top. Today’s television technologies provide viewers with an entertainment experience that rivals the local movie theater. Digital picture, digital sound, and even a wide-screen viewing area are just some of the innovations that are available from your local cable providers. For an additional cost, cable providers can provide TV using digital signal transmission instead of traditional analog signal transmission. Digital technology provides better picture clarity and sound quality than analog technology. Most cable companies provide a digital converter box that receives the signal and converts it so it can be seen on a regular TV. Both Cox and Comcast offer digital cable.
