Watch Keeping Fairfax Affordable

Tune in to the Keeping Fairfax Affordable and receive a progress report on the Affordable Housing Preservation Initiative. In April 2004, the Board of Supervisors announced the Affordable Housing Preservation Initiative, with a goal of preserving 1,000 units of affordable housing before the end of 2007.  In the spring of 2005, the board approved allocating one penny of the real estate tax rate to the preservation of affordable housing.  Find out how the county is putting that penny of the real estate tax to work.
