Watch Pioneer Women: Winning the Right to Vote

Suffrage march

From June-December 1917, scores of women suffragists were imprisoned by the District of Columbia in the Occoquan Workhouse for picketing the White House and demanding their right to vote.  Watch Pioneer Women: Winning the Right to Vote and learn about how, despite harsh treatment, their courage and dedication led to the passage and ratification of the 19th Amendment in 1920.
