Watch Washington and Fairfax

Revolutionary War soldiers poised to fire rifles

Tune in to Washington and Fairfax to learn about three of Fairfax County's most prominent citizens: George Washington, George Mason, and Bryan Fairfax. Through interviews with local historians, recreations, use of diaries and correspondence, and artifacts of the period, the program presents a personal portrait of the relationships of these three men. Washington and Fairfax dramatizes significant events in county history, including the revolutionary war years and the drafting of the Fairfax Resolves, the Virginia Declaration of Rights, and the Potomac Compact which ultimately led to the Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia.
