The Wild Side of Fairfax County is a series of programs that focus on a variety of wildlife issues in Fairfax County. This edition of the Wild Side of Fairfax County focuses on geese. Although this bird is a migratory bird, Fairfax County has a growing population of “resident” Canada geese that now live in this region. The Wild Side of Fairfax County: Geese explores a variety of issues, from the nuisance of dealing with increased bird droppings, to the environmental impact that geese have on the region. (CC)

Citizens are encouraged to learn more about geese by connecting to Fairfax County’s Web site, or by using the contact information included at the end of each program.
