Laurel Hill

Laurel Hill Park has open spaces, historical buildings, modern facilities, and trails. The equestrian facilities are located on the site of the old Lorton Reformatory, at what once was a dairy farm for the prison. The initial equestrian facilities were installed in 2014 with the construction of an outside riding ring and parking lot. The entire area currently is a mixture of historical fabric and modern development. The Master Plan for the park shows additional equestrian facilities that may be constructed as funding is made available.
