Summer Entertainment Series

Summer Concert Series

Autumn comes and Fairfax County Park Authority's 2014 Summer Entertainment Series has ended. Sites throughout the county rocked to jazz, folk, klezmer, zydeco, classical, bluegrass, international dancing and more. We rollicked with puppets, storytellers, and clowns and screened family-friendly movies. This year, our performances and movies at our many venues was enjoyed by all, whether 6 or 60. Saturday mornings were devoted to children's programs; evenings presented a wide range of musical and dance ensembles and weekends featured movies by starlight.

For this, we extend heartfelt thanks to all our performers, volunteers and sponsors. Although there is in-kind support from county sources, no Fairfax County tax monies were spent. Our sponsors covered it all and our volunteers made it happen. Because of them, we are able to provide a truly wide-ranging program for the wonderfully diverse population of Fairfax County.

Now that summer is over, we are busy planning next year's series, and will once again be posting the season's schedule on our website, starting May 1, 2015. Please don't hesitate to call Sousan Frankeberger at 703-324-8566 if you wish to volunteer or become a sponsor.
