Volunteer opportunities are as varied and diverse as the parks. With over 24,000 acres of parkland, the Park Authority has ball fields, lakes, RECenters, golf courses, nature centers, historic sites, a working farm and a horticulture center.

Employer Match Programs - Making a Difference Your employer may be among the 15,000 companies that match employee volunteer hours and charitable contributions with cash donations. Among local employers, Microsoft is currently providing ongoing matching contributions totaling more than $4,000.00 annually. Programs like these can double the value of your volunteer hours and cash donations. If you name the Fairfax County Park Foundation, the 501c3 tax-exempt charitable organization that supports the Park Authority, to receive the donation, we will direct the funds to the volunteer program. Check your company website or call your human resources department to see if your employer supports your community involvement.
