FCDOT Offers Webinar for Employers to Help Staff Return to Work

For Immediate Release
March 21, 2022

The Fairfax County Commuters Services (FCCS) Group and the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) will host a free webinar on Wednesday, March 30, at 1:30 p.m., to introduce Fairfax County employers to the Smart Benefits Plus 50 program, an incentive program to encourage employees to incporate public transportation into their commutes. Employees receive a free $50 Smart Trip card to try transit along with pre-tax benefits.

In 2022, the Smart Benefits Plus 50 program may be timely for organizations as they return to the physical office, and for businesses along the new Silver Line who will soon be able to offer new transportation options to their employees. The free program, which requires a simple registration process, offers businesses another strategy to enhance recruitment and retention efforts.

The webinar will be hosted by FCCS' Walter Daniel, program manager, and Al Watson, project manager at WMATA.
