The Shark Tank Assistive Technology Challenge features six teams of school students who developed an innovative technological device or application that would improve the quality of life for older adults. Five judges observed each presentation; their expertise ranges from employment in firms within the IT industry, Edu-Futuro’s Emerging Leaders Program, George Mason University, and Fairfax County Public Schools. Winners were announced at the May 7, 2019 BOS meeting; that recognition is included at the end of this program.(CC)
