Lewinsville Adult Day Health Care hosted a drive through carnival for center participants and friends. Drive-through programs like this one have been hosted throughout the past few months to keep participants connected and engaged through safe activities. Watch the video:

As the participant drove through, they played carnival games, received traditional carnival treats like popcorn, and had the ability to talk to Adult Day staff, who were all in celebratory costumes.

The drive-through carnival was a reimagined take on an activity Adult Day Health Care would typically host in-person.

In our Centers, we would create a carnival experience where the participants would share their memories," said Arlene Williams, program assistant and creator of the event. “We would have discussions, play games, wear costumes, and get everyone involved in the fun. Activities like this help keep people engaged, active, and smiling!”

“The pandemic has been difficult for our participants and caregivers, so we are always coming up with creative ideas to keep everyone involved."
