History Commission
Our MissionThe Fairfax County History Commission was established by the County of Fairfax in 1969. We help identify, document, record, and preserve our county's historic past here in Northern Virginia. Our commission's 20 members are appointed by the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors. We meet on the first Wednesday of every month. Our accomplishments and projects in progress are detailed in an Annual Report submitted to the Board of Supervisors.
