History Commission - Meeting Schedule


Kidwell Farm HouseThe Fairfax County History Commission generally meets at 7:30 PM on the first Wednesday of every month at the City of Fairfax Regional Library, 10360 North Street, in the first floor meeting room. The Commission's various committees meet on an as-needed basis. The Commission also sponsors events in local history such as roadside marker dedications and an annual History Conference.

The Fairfax County History Commission was established by the County of Fairfax in 1969. The Commission helps identify, document, record, and preserve the county's historic past here in Northern Virginia. The Commission's 20 members are appointed by the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors.

*The July meeting is being held on the second Wednesday of the month due to the July 4 holiday.
