The Fairfax County Park Authority is proposing to add a child care facility to the Cub Run Rec Center in Chantilly, Virginia. The proposal includes the renovation of a section of the existing fitness center to create separate, secure space for patrons to be able to drop off their young children while they engage in various activities at the center.
The child care facility will include a dedicated, secure entrance, a child-sized restroom, water fountain, and storage. It will provide a welcoming and safe space for children featuring vibrant colors, fun play areas, sensory boards and appropriately scaled tables and chairs where children can engage in a diverse selection of exciting activities and games.
The child care facility is anticipated to be approximately 1,400 square feet. The project cost is estimated at $965,000 and is projected for completion by late 2023.
