FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. – Just a reminder: Throughout the month of October, County residents are being asked to provide information on any recycling educational materials and initiatives they’ve learned about from the County’s private and public trash/recycling haulers. The survey closes October 30.
The survey takes about two minutes to complete and includes inquiries such as the type of information received and how often. The goal is to receive data that will provide a clearer picture of the overall countywide recycling services of County and private collectors.
The survey is available on our Fairfax Recycles Day page.
The questionnaire is a component of the Solid Waste Management Division’s Four Touchpoints (4TP) Initiative, which is designed to create better relationships between collectors and their customers, including providing a variety of information related to trash and recycling collection.
The Countywide Strategic Plan calls for waste reduction through a variety of methods, including reuse/recycling. The 4TP, which includes a newsletter, meetings, talking point and activities, will facilitate the connectivity between haulers and customers that is essential for the successful implementation of enhanced recycling efforts.
