With more than 500 deputies, Fairfax is the largest
Sheriff’s office in Virginia and among the largest in the country.
The Sheriff's Office and/or its facilities are accredited by the Virginia
Law Enforcement Professional Standards Commission, the National
Commission on Correctional Health Care, and the American Correctional
Association.
Due to budget constraints, the Fairfax County Sheriff’s Office has implemented a temporary hiring freeze. However, we will continue to accept applications for future consideration. We appreciate your interest in our agency and encourage you to check back.
