The Office of Human Rights and Equity Programs (OHREP) is composed of the Human Rights Division (HRD) and the Equity Programs Division (EPD). The vision of OHREP is to promote justice, equal opportunity, diversity and inclusiveness by protecting the civil rights of all in Fairfax County.

The Human Rights Division (HRD) enforces the Fairfax County
Human Rights Ordinance.
HRD receives and investigates complaints filed by a person who believes he/she has been discriminated against in Fairfax County by a private business or organization in violation of the County’s Human Rights Ordinance. The Equity Programs Division (EPD) administers the County’s
Equal Employment Enforcement (EEO) program.
