An application for a Fire Prevention Code
Permit shall be filed with the Office of the Fire Marshal,
accompanied with a certificate of liability insurance,
with minimum limits.

Application and plans shall be submitted
for approval to the Office of the Fire Marshal a minimum
of 14 days prior to any display.

| 3. |
Fairfax County follows the guidelines of
NFPA 1123, 2000 edition, for Aerial displays.
|
| 4. |
Requirement of two notarized letters from
the property owner granting permission for use of the property
for display.
|
| 5. |
There shall be a competent person at the display site at all times once fireworks have been delivered.
|
| 6. |
NO SMOKING or matches permitted in area of storage
or the display site.
|
| 7. |
Vehicles used to transport fireworks shall
be placarded in accordance with DOT 49 CFR requirements.
|
| 8. |
The vehicle transporting the fireworks
shall not be left unattended at anytime while loaded.
|
| 9. |
Requirements of (1) 2A10BC fire extinguisher
or (2) water pressure fire extinguishers are required on site during the display.

| 10. |
Mortar racks and cake boxes shall be constructed and secured
to prevent falling over while in use.
|
| 11. |
Multi-tube aerial devices (cakeboxes) shall be
constructed in racks similar to mortar racks and secured to
prevent falling over while in use.

| 12. |
A safe perimeter shall be established and
secured once fireworks arrive on site.
|
| 13. |
A minimum 70' per inch of shell safe area
/ fallout area shall be established prior to display.
|
| 14. |
A minimum 140' per inch of shell safe area
/ fallout shall be established prior to display for
multi-tube aerial devices (cakeboxes).

| 15. |
The firework display shall be stopped if
wind conditions exceed 15 mph.
