NVSWCD works with many partners, both public
and private, to achieve our vision of clean streams in Fairfax
County.

districts.
The Virginia
Association of Soil and Water Conservation Districts
(VASWCD) supports the missions of Virginia's 47 conservation
districts by providing leadership and training, improving communication,
and providing cohesive representation to legislative bodies
on natural resources issues.
The Virginia
Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR)
provides financial, technical, and administrative support to
conservation districts. DCR is the state's lead agency for developing
and implementing statewide nonpoint source pollution control
programs and services. Fairfax County is served by the Potomac

Department of Conservation and Recreation, Division of Chesapeake
Bay Local Assistance (CBLA) is the state agency

used and developed in ways that minimize impact on water quality.

and develop healthy, sustainable forest resources. NVSWCD works
