The Research & Development Unit encompasses research and evaluation, as well as grant and program development support. The Unit Director and three full-time Research Analysts:
- collect, compile, and distribute workload and client trend data
- provide information to support budget development
- collect agency performance measure data and evaluate services
- conduct research on juvenile justice issues
- identify funding opportunities
- write grant proposals and evaluate the results of grant-funded activities
- conduct research on successful program and service strategies
- provide expertise to other court workers on data analysis, programming, and service issues
