The Cost of Caring

Sponsored by the Fairfax County Trauma-Informed Community Network, this training was created for human services staff who have previously attended basic trauma training, and want to learn more about the impact of Secondary Traumatic Stress (STS) on the workforce. Participants will learn the difference between stress, burnout, and STS,  and will have opportunities to explore their own self-care both in their personal lives, and in the workplace. Participants will learn how to enhance their personal resiliency and move towards compassion satisfaction in their role as human services professionals.
