Fitzhugh Family Cemetery

The land sale from EDWIN F. and FENTON M. FITZHUGH to THEODORE HORN, dated Oct. 4, 1880 (Db Z4:285), exempted a 1/8 acre burying ground from the transfer. The current owner of the property, Mrs. McGinnis, who was born in the Fitzhugh House, reported that a circular stone wall once surrounded the cemetery, but that it fell down "long ago." There are no depressions, fieldstones, or other surface evidence of burials.
