Your Input is Needed to Inform the Future of Affordable Housing and Human Services in Fairfax County

photo Fairfax County, we need your help identifying housing and human services needs, today and in the future.

The Fairfax County Consolidated Community Funding Advisory Committee (CCFAC) invites you to participate, either in-person or virtually, in a public hearing on October 10, 2023 at 7 p.m. at the Fairfax County Government Center (12000 Government Center Parkway, Fairfax, Virginia 22035), in Conference Rooms 9 and 10. Those who cannot attend have the option to email or mail input, and language services are available (details below).

Your Input Informs the Future of Affordable Housing and Human Services in Fairfax
Your input is vital to informing Fairfax County’s Fiscal Year (FY) 2025 One-Year Action Plan. This plan is created annually and submitted to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to inform federal funding that addresses the unique needs of our local community. See the final 2024 plan here for Fiscal Year 2024 (July 1, 2023 – June 30, 2024).

Community Input on Current Needs, The Future, Discrimination Concerns, and More is Needed
By attending the public hearing on October 10, you will have an opportunity to share your ideas about housing and human services needs. We want to know your thoughts on:

  • What are the housing and human services needs, where you live or work in Fairfax County? How well are those needs being met?
  • How do needs differ from neighborhood to neighborhood?
  • What is on the horizon for the community when it comes to affordable housing and human services? What will people need in the future?
  • Have you experienced discrimination in accessing affordable housing or other human services programs in Fairfax County?
