Come Learn About Internet Safety Best Practices and Smart Technology at Fairfax County’s Security Awareness Day on October 27, 2017!
In honor of National Cybersecurity Awareness Month, come join Fairfax County’s Department of Information Technology’s 12th Annual Security Awareness Day on Friday, October 27, 2017.
This year, we’ll have a full day packed with useful information on everything from social media best practices to technological talks on Smart technology. This year’s theme, State of Cyber, Living in Today’s Smart World, was designed to bring relevant information to you and your families about the ever-changing world of cyber technology, both the good (think smart homes) and the bad (think cyber threats).
We’ve lined up industry experts to talk with you about how to stay safe online. Attendees will learn about best practices in social media use, security implications of the Internet of Things, social media best practices, advancements in the fight against cybercrime, and much more! Additionally, we’ll offer advanced sessions on everything from cyber security best practices to biometrics to privacy invasion.
Where: Fairfax County Government Center Time: 8:30 am to 2:30 pm Online registration for the event will be available in the County’s Learning Management System began on September 22, 2017. Courses can be located by searching for the term “2017SecurityAwarenessDay.” Employees can also visit ISO on FairfaxNet for event news and to review an agenda.
