The Civil Service Commission represents the public interest in the improvement of personnel administration in the county and advises the Board of Supervisors, county executive and Human Resources director in the formulation of policies concerning personnel administration within the competitive service, and acts as an impartial hearing body for county employee grievances and appeals.
