Hunter Mill Coat Closet, a cooperative program with my office
and Reston Interfaith, begins operation on Saturday, November 14
at the North County Government Center, 12000 Bowman Towne Drive in
Reston. Last year, the Coat Closet distributed over 5,000 winter
coats and 1,800 hats, gloves and scarves. Again this year, your
contributions of gently used or new adult and child sized coats are
greatly appreciated. The Coat Closet will be open to those in
need of coats, or to drop off donations, on Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to
noon, Thursdays from 5:30 to 8 p.m., and Saturdays from 10:30 a.m. to
12:30 p.m., through March 13. For the last eight years, our
residents have pitched in to provide this valuable service to our
neighbors in need.
