Tax Evaders

Welcome to Program Target. This program enables citizens to report vehicles that may be evading the County's Personal Property tax laws. The program information page lists recent program changes and an explanation of tip 'status messages.' In addition to personal property taxes, vehicles may be subject to a 'No Plate' tax.

The automated system below can now be used to report possible tax evader tips or to check on the status of previous reports. To report a new tax evader tip, click on the link ('Add a New Tax Evader Record'). To check the status of a previous report, click on the link ('Check the Status of a Record').

Citizens may also call 703-222-8234, TTY 703-222-7594 to report vehicles that may be evading the County's Personal Property tax laws.

Privacy Act Notice: In accordance with the Code of Virginia, Section 58.1-3, confidential information obtained in the investigation of these reports shall not be divulged.

Under the law, citizens have 60 days in which to register the purchase or 'move-in' of vehicles to Fairfax County.
