The Public Affairs and Life Safety Education Section fulfills the Fire and Rescue Department's obligation of keeping the citizens and the community of Fairfax County informed about its policies, procedures, and operations. Additionally, the Section provides comprehensive fire and life-safety programs that include elementary schools and various special-needs groups.

The PA/LSE Section also publishes the Department's newsletter, Line Copy, the Annual Report, fire and safety related publications, and news releases.
