Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department units responded to a house fire at approximately 1:45 p.m., Tuesday, June 26, 2007, in the Annandale area of Fairfax County. The home is located at 7802 Bristow Drive.
Firefighters reported heavy smoke coming from the rear of the split-level home upon arrival. There was no one at home when the fire started. Firefighters brought the fire under control in approximately 25 minutes. There were no reported injuries. Two adults and one child have been displaced. Red Cross was not needed.
Damage is estimated at $100,000.
According to fire investigators, the fire was accidental. Electrical wiring within the furnace located on the first floor caused the fire.
