Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department fire investigators charged Josegerman Moreno Reyes, unknown age, Yesenia Lezeth Gomez, 26, from the Woodlawn area of Fairfax County, and Daybin Rodriguez, 22, Prince William County, Sunday, July 29, 2007, for burning or destroying property, valued over $200.00, (Class 4 felony, Virginia Code § 18.2-81).
Additionally, Gomez and Reyes were charged for obstruction of justice (Class 1 misdemeanor, Virginia Code § 18.2-460).
The arrests are in connection with setting a vehicle fire at 11000 Gunston Road, at approximately 3 a.m., Saturday, July 7, 2007. No injuries were reported. The 2007 Dodge Grand Caravan was a complete loss. Damage is estimated at $22,800.
Class 4 felonies can convey a term of imprisonment of not less than two years nor more than ten years and, subject to subdivision (g), a fine of not more than $100,000.
Class 1 misdemeanors can convey confinement in jail for not more than twelve months and a fine of not more than $2,500, either or both.
