A 25-year veteran, Master Technician Upchurch has performed in a singularly outstanding fashion throughout his career. Most noteworthy has been his service as Chairman of the department’s Apparatus Committee. One of the most important and highly visible committees in the organization, Master Technician Upchurch has served with distinction. He contributed countless hours, in addition to regular committee meetings, involving apparatus research and best practices, development of a technical manual, and providing wise counsel to senior management. His selfless service immeasurably added to the outstanding apparatus readiness of the department’s fleet.
