A letter to community and industry is correspondence from the Deputy Fire Marshal to interested businesses, industries, and residents regarding policies, procedures, and general information pertaining to fire protection systems, fire prevention, and fire code enforcement in Fairfax County and the towns of Clifton, Herndon, and Vienna.

The Fire & Rescue Department's Public Information and Life Safety Education Section is responsible for fire and rescue-related educational topics, news releases, media advisories, and public service announcements.
