Description:
Built in 1890 by Scots immigrant John C. Hunter, Hunter House began as a small frame farmhouse. While it retains much of its original character, with hardwood floors, high ceilings, and large windows, the house has been expanded into a spacious facility. Over the years Hunter House has been the center of a working farm, and after Prohibition, a winery producing "Virginia Maid" wine. Today, Hunter House offers two rooms, a large entry hallway, screened porch, cold kitchen, beautiful border gardens, and large shaded lawn for your dinner party of up to 50, cocktail reception of up to 75, or garden party of up to 200.
