2024 Schedule for Exploring Dimensions of Aging


This unique opportunity allows participants to “see through the eyes” of older adults is available through a new virtual training series called Exploring the Dimensions of Aging through Virtual Reality. The training series was developed by Embodied Labs and simulates what it is like to be an older adult encountering various challenges in everyday situations.

75-min facilitated virtual sessions focus on how social isolation impacts an older adult, learning about the early signs and progression of Lewy Body Dementia and Parkinson’s Disease, how to navigate caregiver burnout, and much more.

Registration is required to join the training session.

The Dima Lab: Lewy Body Dementia and Parkinson's Disease

Embody Dima as she begins experiencing visual disturbances and changes in motor functions due to the progression of her Lewy Body Dementia, and how she and her family navigate coping with her symptoms.  Learn about the early signs and progression of Lewy Body Dementia and important considerations for promoting independence, preserving dignity, and offering culturally competent care.

Elder Safety and Well-Being Lab: Preserving Physical & Psychological Health

Through a series of 3 unique scenarios, you will embody older adults and care partners who are experiencing challenges related to Caregiver Burnout, Intervention and De-escalation, and Trauma-Informed Care.



Session will be held via MS Teams. A link to join will be provided after registration is completed.

The Frank Lab: Social Isolation

Embody Frank as he experiences the destructive impacts of social isolation and how it can overlap with loneliness, poor family relationships, and health. You will continue to embody Frank as he seeks to improve his health, nourish more rewarding relationships, and find purpose again when offered proper support.
