Diabetes Self-Management Program (DSMP)

This free six-week workshop will help you:
  • Feel better
  • Increase energy
  • Get relief from pain and fatigue
  • Do the things you want to do each day

Who should attend?
  • Adults with ongoing health conditions
  • Friends, relatives, or caregivers of a person with chronic illness
  • Chronic illness can include arthritis, heart problems, asthma
         and other respiratory conditions, diabetes, and high blood pressure

What to expect at the workshop?
  • 8-12 participants with a wide range of chronic health issues
  • Workshops led by two trained leaders who have chronic illness
  • The opportunity to give and receive support
  • A copy of "Living a Healthy Life with Chronic Conditions"

Take Control of Your Health and Your Happiness – Fairfax County's Diabetes Self-Management free workshop series for individuals concerned or frustrated by living with pre-diabetes or diabetes will be held Tuesdays, September 10-October 15, 2019 from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.at the City of Falls Church Community Center, 223 Little Falls Street, Falls Church.

Workshop is led by two trained facilitators. Learn and share positive strategies to better manage overall health, increase self-confidence and improve the skills you need to take control of your health!
