How to Prepay a Fine
Prepaying a Criminal Violation
Some criminal cases may be prepaid before your court date. When you prepay your summons, you are waiving your right to trial and admitting your guilt.
If you do not prepay your case prior to your court date and you do not appear at your assigned court hearing, you may be tried in your absence and additional fees will be assessed. Please ensure you prepay no later than the last business day before court.
Criminal cases that can be prepaid may require documentation such as proof of rabies vaccination or fishing license. You should contact the Criminal Clerk's Office at 703-246-3305 for complete instructions.
