Community Meeting Held January 24; Comments Due February 7, 2017

Fairfax County Department of Transportation (FCDOT) held a community meeting to discuss proposed striping changes in Springfield and Braddock Districts on Tuesday, January 24, 6:30 to 8 p.m., in the cafeteria of Irving Middle School, 8100 Old Keene Mill Road, Springfield. The purpose of the meeting was to gather input on various proposals to improve traffic safety, bicycling and the pedestrian environment in Springfield. Please view the presentation from the meeting and send any feedback using the comment form on this page by Feb. 7.

Project Background

As part of the Virginia Department of Transportation's (VDOT) 2017 repaving schedule, two areas in Springfield and Braddock Districts currently are under review:

  • Greeley Boulevard from Carrleigh Parkway to Old Keene Mill Road

  • Hillside Road from Rolling Road to Old Keene Mill Road

The proposed improvements are limited to changes that can be made with roadway striping as part of the repaving process.
