HOT Lanes in Fairfax County
The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) has partnered with two private companies to construct High-Occupancy Toll (HOT) Lanes in Fairfax County and Northern Virginia.
For information on lane closures and traffic impacts (including Route 123 in Tysons, bridge construction at Braddock Road and other areas):
The project will create four new lanes on the Beltway and add, improve or replace such infrastructure as bridges, overpasses and sound walls. Extensive work is planned on bridges over the Beltway.
The project will expand the existing High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) lanes on I-95/395 from two to three lanes and extend two new lanes south to Massaponax.
